Steve Craig, EA

Steve Craig retired from the IRS on Valentine’s Day after 35 years of service in 2014 and has been working for firm since.  Steve spent his previous career in Chicago, with the last 27 years in various management positions in the Examination function.  Steve wanted a change so he left the IRS to work for the firm and the right side of the force. He tells me he thought he worked hard for the IRS – but private practice is at a whole different level.    He enjoys working with the clients.  Steve has joined Stan and I doing presentations at local CPA meetings and seminars.  Steve’s wife, Cinda, retired from her home day care business at the end of 2016 and has adjusted to retirement, catching up on many items on her “to do list”.  Their daughter, Christina, is teaching math at a junior high school in the south suburbs.  Their son, Dustin, an avid sports fan and participant, graduated from Illinois State in May 2014.  Dustin is working for a logistics firm located in downtown Chicago in 2016.  Dustin moved out of the house in September 2016 and joined friends in an apartment within a block of Wrigley Field.  He continues to enjoy the city life and all it has to offer.
